Letter from the Doctor
“As we all know, healthcare system changed”
“It is an oversaturated system that leads to long waits, frustrated patients and burned out doctors. Medicare and other insurances dictate how to practice medicine and how to run
your practice. The insurance health system places a lot of pressure on doctors and patients. You have 10 to 15 minutes to listen and examine your patient and sometimes you have to see four patients in one hour or even more. There are patients with multiple medical problems that you have to address within a 15 minute visit. All above create unhappy patients and unhappy doctors.
After so many years practicing traditional medicine (third party payer medicine or insurance based medicine). I decided not to support this model anymore because I feel the services offered suffer in terms of quality.
How many times you found yourself waiting so long on the phone to talk to the front desk? How many times you had to wait for a few weeks or one month to see your doctor? And finally after you managed to go to his office you had to wait another 30 minutes to 1 hour or even more to see him for just 10 to 15 minutes.
I have thought long before making that decision. I think concierge model in the form of direct primary care, is the best way to practice medicine without to compromise the quality of care that I want to offer to my patients. In such a model, you have a smaller patient panel that gives you the opportunity to build a strong patient - doctor relationship and provide high quality of care to your patients.
I am a strong believer of direct primary healthcare model. I understand that concierge medicine is not for all, but also insurance medicine is not for all. I am very excited for the next chapter in my career and I am looking forward to be your doctor and your family friend for the rest of your life. Do not choose me because you will have a better access to care but choose me because you trust me”
