Can I have a televisit while traveling in another state?
Possibly, but availability is not automatic. Medical-practice rules generally depend on where the patient is physically located during the visit. IASIS must confirm that the visit is legally permitted and clinically appropriate.
Can I have a televisit while outside the United States?
Contact IASIS before relying on an international televisit. Availability may be limited by local laws, licensing, technology, prescribing rules, the nature of the concern, and the physician’s ability to provide appropriate care from a distance.
Can every health concern be treated virtually?
No. Some concerns require a physical examination, vital signs, laboratory testing, imaging, urgent care, or emergency evaluation. Dr. Karanastasis may recommend an in-person visit or direct you to local care.
